"b'yachad" is the Hebrew word meaning "together." It is often used in Jewish communities to emphasize the strength of unity, collaboration, and the power of coming together.

sacramento b’yachad’s mission is to educate and grow our community by supporting educational programs, inclusive social initiatives, and allyship that honors our diverse expressions of Jewish identity and the identities of our allies.
We understand that, like planting trees where we may never enjoy their shade, it is important to dig into the needs of our community, plant the seeds, and do the work to reshape our understanding of access, equity, and inclusiveness. If we do the work, we can envision a future 'beyond inclusion,' where diversity is not merely accepted but, like trees that make up a forest, our sense of community is celebrated as an essential, shared value.
